Wisdom for Women

Grief has stages.

It’s best not to be stuck on a stage when the curtain closes.

Have I been in a stage of grief too long?

Perhaps I will move to the next act.

I spent lots and lots of time on stage in my younger years. Many rehearsals preceded the performance. And once the curtain went up everything happened as rehearsed and was totally predictable. Real life – not so simple. There are no rehearsals, no memorized lines, and no predictability. When grief hits us and it does hit – hard, we are often surprised. We travel through life with expectations of bliss and happiness. We don’t prepare for heartache. But it happens.

Grief takes time. You can handle it with grace.
